Lawn Food for a Lush Yard

Who doesn’t want to have a perfect, green, lush yard? Unfortunately, some lawns are just difficult to keep happy. Regardless of how much sun, water, and seed or sod you lay down, there are times when the yard of your dreams seems just out of reach. Luckily, there are a few tried and true methods that can help you achieve a lawn that will make you the envy of your neighbors. The most important one: finding the best lawn food for your grass and your soil’s needs.

There are three essential nutrients that a yard needs to thrive: nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. However, these elements are needed in various quantities. The amount depends on the type of soil your yard has, the amount of sunlight or shade it receives, the temperature, and more. But what exactly do these elements do?

Nitrogen deficiency is common in locations that have experienced runoff, erosion, and nitrate leaching. Nitrogen is naturally present in the soil in the form of organic material. Using the correct amount of nitrogen in your soil is essential, so remember to check the nitrogen content of your fertilizer before adding more to your yard. Phosphorus helps plants take the nutrients they absorb and turn them into energy. Potassium helps plants do a vast number of things, and can affect the plant’s shape, size, color, and even taste. If you want to avoid damage to your crops, ensure that your nutrient levels are at the proper amounts with a fertilizer that will supplement anything you’re missing.

Our 15-0-15 is a Phosphorus free, bio-active, lawn food. This nutritional fertilizer provides vital nutrients for greening and growth. The lawn food also contains essential ingredients for the overall health and strength of your grass.

Our formula contains bio-active organics, feed grade urea, humic and fulvic acids, potash, and sulfur. It’s best used to maintain lawn health or to treat nutrient deficiencies.

Symptoms of Nitrogen Deficiency Include:

  • Stunted and slow growth
  • Light green coloring
  • Poor density
  • Yellowing, especially in older leaves

Symptoms of Potassium Deficiency Include:

  • Low tolerance to heat or cold
  • Wilting tips of leaves
  • Prone to stress and disease
  • Yellowing in color
  • Appearing burnt

To ensure that the nutrients in your fertilizer are absorbed efficiently and adequately, it’s essential to keep your lawn watered on a regular schedule. We suggest watering for 20-25 minutes 2-3 times a week rather than for a few minutes every day so that your yard can truly absorb the amount of water that it needs.
